Wind farm layout & specifications

Layout

The windfarm consists of 54 wind turbines. Within the concenssion area, two subareas are separated by a channel defined around the Interconnector gas pipeline and the Concerto South 1 telecommunication cable:

  • Subarea A (southwestern part of the concession) consists of 30 turbines.
  • Subarea B (northeastern part of the concession) consists of 24 turbines

The project was built in 3 phases

Infield cables connect the wind turbines to the transformer station, situated in the southeastern corner, in strings of maximum 6 turbines.

The transformer station transform the voltage from 33.000 volt to 150.000 volt.

Two 150kV AC cables link the transformer station to the high voltage grid of Elia onshore in Bredene.
